EDU 5114 Social Studies Methods
This is a preparation course for the teaching of history-social science in elementary/middle school classrooms. Central to the course are the concepts and skills required for the effective planning and teaching of social studies. This course places a strong emphasis on curriculum integration with other disciplines, especially Jewish studies. Our study will include recognizing the scope and sequence of curricula, and understanding the knowledge, skills, and meaning that can be gained through the study of social studies.
