EDU 5113 Literacy Methods IV
Literacy Methods IV is the final course in a 4-course series that prepares DeLeT students to be teachers of reading and writing across the TK-8 spectrum, in alignment with the California Teaching Performance Expectations. This course, held in the second summer after a year of fieldwork, extends the study of literacy practices to continue work on meaning-making strategies and add focus on the teaching of writing, including writing workshop and the writing process, peer feedback, and the use of strategies such as mentor texts and graphic organizers.
