EDU 5100 Teaching and Learning I
Part one of the year-long DeLeT Teaching and Learning Seminar is the foundation of the cohort-based exploration of teaching and learning.
EDU 5100 invites students to explore their own background as both a learner and a teacher, as experiences in each of these roles impact the way we teach as well as how we think about students. This course welcomes students into the world of “skillful teaching,” helping them to see both the work and the reflection that goes into effective teaching and impactful learning. We will begin to explore the components that lead to effective lesson planning, create lesson plans, and work with peers to continually refine and enhance planning and instruction and build capacity as ever-more-skillful teachers.
