Student Records

Transcripts and Files

Maintenance of student transcripts and files is consistent with the best practices set forth by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and institutional policy. Appropriately designated administrative personnel, approved by the Office of the Registrar, may have access to the part or all of the student files.

HUC maintains an electronic file for each student in the Student Information System (SIS). Students have access to all pertinent information in SIS and may check their personal record for accuracy. The general academic file for each student may contain, but is not limited to:

  • Forms submitted by the student
  • Approvals and relevant correspondences
  • International student's visa related records
  • VA student's benefits related records

Admission files are maintained by the Office of Recruitment and Admission, including, but not limited to:

  • Confidential letters of reference written in support of the student’s application
  • The application, transcripts, Graduate Record Examination scores, autobiographical statement, medical forms, letter of acceptance and letter of acknowledgment

Program files may also be kept by the student’s Program Director.

Access to Records

Students may contact the appropriate office to access their files. Requests for official transcripts are made through National Student Clearinghouse for $10 per transcript.
