BIB 627 Remembering the Ark
Across biblical writings and interpretations, there is significant disagreement over the form, function, and ultimate fate of the Lost Ark. This seminar brings together representations of the Ark from Exodus to Chronicles and in works of Biblical interpretation through the Mishnah, exploring the different ways that these texts and their writers have remembered the Ark—making meaning with it to craft competing visions of "Israel" and its future through the biblical past.
