BIB 605 Family in Ancient Israel and the Bible

The Bible comes out of a world foreign to most contemporary readers. This course decodes some of the family structures that undergird the narratives and laws of the Bible, including parent-child relationships, money and inheritance, levirate marriage and the power of men over women and children.
