PDE 555 Intensive: Eilu v'Eilu: Leading and Living in Polarized Times

Open to rabbinical and cantorial students from HUC-JIR and The Jewish Theological Seminary. Limit 20 students, chosen by application. Rabbi Fred Reeves, Director of Jewish Programs at One America Movement. January 13-16, 2025, on the HUC-JIR New York campus. An intensive course focusing on the science behind toxic polarization, the Jewish values and texts related to countering toxic polarization, and practical skills to implement in order to reduce toxic polarization in our communities. Students have an opportunity to learn from researchers from the field of polarization, as well as from Jewish scholars and clergy, as we focus on skills to help navigate community divisions and strategies for engaging productively across differences.
