MGT 6900 Capstone: Research Methods
The overall aims of the course are to (1) learn and practice methods for conducting research related to Jewish organizations, programs and practices and (2) develop a foundation of knowledge and curiosities for your capstone course. The course will highlight the ways in which quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research can serve to further our understanding of how individuals make sense of and interact with the social world, and in particular with Jewish social institutions/programs/practices and their related challenges and opportunities. In doing so, students will learn about: 1) the nature of research; 2) how to critically engage with research published in academic, practitioner and public-facing venues; 3) how to design and conduct research; and 4) how to share research findings in meaningful ways given particular audiences.
