MGT 5531 Fundraising Fundamentals

This course offers foundational learning about the role fundraising plays within nonprofit organizations. Students will explore campaign models and strategies, crafting effective fundraising messaging for donor audiences, annual campaign planning, grant writing and foundation relations, the donor life cycle, and the roles played by lay and professional leadership. The course will culminate with a student selected nonprofit case study, an opportunity for each student to assess an organization’s current fundraising practices and make recommendations based on learnings and best practices.
