MGT 560 Global Jewish Responsibility in the 21st Century
Mutual responsibility has always been a bedrock principle of the Jewish people. This course examines the values that constitute this global responsibility through the lens of Biblical, Rabbinic, and philosophical frameworks to better understand what communal responsibility means in the 21st century. We also explore the Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and its unparalleled century-plus support for Jews around the world.
