BIB 422 Prophets and Megillot
The overall aim of this year-long course is to help you become more familiar with the texts of the Tanakh and the techniques and resources used to better understand those texts. In addition, the course encourages creative applications of these texts in your work as educators and cantors. In the fall we will study the texts of the Torah- the Five Books of Moses along with key texts after the people conquer the land. Such texts includes stories in the book of Judges and in the books of Samuel. In the spring we will focus on Prophets/Megillot- Amos, Isaiah, Esther, Ruth, Jonah.
